With a paired HoneyBeacon, a nearby session starts in the zone and ends when you leave it. Walking away from a HoneyTag does not end blocking, because a tag is a scan, not a zone. An app-only timer, and a Bee Together session set for the full timer, keep blocking until that timer ends. Bluetooth proximity is approximate. Shared sessions need accounts, participation and the relevant permissions.

Your iPhone does the blocking.
Screen Time permission lets the app apply restrictions. Bluetooth and Location support nearby detection when you use a beacon. They are not required to create a timer-only session.
Shared features can share relevant session or presence information with your group. The privacy notice explains what is used and why.
Does HoneyBeacon stop blocking when I leave the room?+
With a paired HoneyBeacon, a nearby session starts when your iPhone is in the zone and ends when you leave it.
Walking away from a HoneyTag does not end blocking, because a tag is a scan, not a zone. An app-only timer, and a Bee Together session set for the full timer, keep blocking until that timer ends.
No. Start with timers and schedules in the iPhone app. HoneyTag adds a scan for a saved routine. HoneyBeacon adds a Bluetooth cue for a place. Either works independently with the app, and you can use both.
Will the apps I need still work?+
Choose permitted apps before you start. Other apps are restricted by Apple Screen Time during your session. Another active session can still apply restrictions, so check your permitted list and settings before you rely on an app.
Can I pause or finish a session?+
A Flight is a temporary pause. Whether you can finish, leave a zone or change settings depends on the session you chose. Lockdown adds extra commitment rules. Read how sessions and pauses work.
What is included, and will I be charged later?+
Starter includes an App Store offer code for The Hive. Duo and Whole Home include an offer code for The Hive Family. Apple's redemption sheet shows the membership, its length and whether it renews before you confirm. Afterwards, keep free Core or choose a paid subscription through Apple. Existing Apple subscriptions continue separately until cancelled. Tag-only packs do not include paid membership.
Will it work with my iPhone?+
The app needs iOS 17 or later and Screen Time permission. HoneyTag also needs a compatible NFC-enabled iPhone. Wake needs iOS 26 or later and alarm permission. Android is not supported at initial launch. See full compatibility and setup requirements.
When can I order, and where do you ship?+
We are preparing for launch in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand. Prices are planned; delivery dates and final terms will be confirmed before orders open. Hardware packs ship free. Tag-only orders ship free in the UK and US; shipping is charged in Australia and New Zealand. No payment is taken here. The waitlist does not reserve a pack, price or delivery date.
