WHAT IT IS

Fewer distractions. More time for what matters.

Fewer distractions. More time for what matters.

Fewer distractions. More time for what matters.

HoneyBeacon combines an iPhone app with a physical Bluetooth beacon. Block distracting apps near your beacon, on a schedule, or during an agreed Bee Together window. Permitted apps stay available. Schedule Only lets you start without hardware.

HOW IT WORKS

Place it. Come close. Be present.

Place it. Come close. Be present.

Beacon schedules block distracting apps when your iPhone is nearby during your chosen hours. Always On blocks while nearby. Schedule Only and Bee Together follow their time windows without needing a beacon.

01

Place your beacon

Place your beacon

Set HoneyBeacon where you want presence: the kitchen table, desk, or bedside. Then calibrate the zone to fit that space.

02

Meet the session rule

Choose permitted apps, then set when blocking should happen. Use a Home schedule, Always On near your Home beacon, or a time-based Schedule Only window.

03

Keep permitted apps

Shields block the distracting apps you selected. Permitted apps stay available. Completed eligible time earns Honey.

Home. A physical cue for presence, with distracting apps blocked near your Home beacon during a schedule or with Always On. Included in Core.

Always On is a Home schedule style. Lockdown adds commitment friction; it is not a blocking mode. Bee Together uses a shared time window, not proximity, to block apps.

Pair your Home HoneyBeacon and calibrate its near zone. The Hive adds separate work and bedside beacons, plus extra Home beacons with their own permitted apps. Detection is room-scale and varies with placement and iOS background behaviour, not an exact perimeter.

Bee Together needs no beacon. Everyone accepts an invitation before phones arm for the same time-based window. Phone proximity is not required for blocking.

Know what starts blocking, when it stops, and how to take a break. Your permitted apps stay available, so you can make space for focus while keeping the essentials close.

When blocking starts and stops

When blocking starts and stops

With a beacon schedule, blocking applies while you are nearby and within your chosen hours. Leaving the zone or reaching the end of that window removes that mode’s blocking. Always On follows proximity. Schedule Only and accepted Bee Together sessions follow their time windows, even if you leave the room. Another active mode can still keep apps blocked.

Quick Sessions

Quick Sessions

Start a 45, 60, 90 or 120 minute Quick Session. Choose near-beacon blocking or blocking for the full timer. Near-beacon blocking follows your proximity; full-timer blocking continues if you leave the room. Quick Sessions are available on Core, with optional Honey and Lockdown.

Permitted apps

Permitted apps

Choose the apps you need to keep available before a session starts. Home and Schedule Only have permitted-app lists. The Hive adds separate lists for work, bedtime and extra HoneyBeacons, so each place can have its own boundaries.

Want more commitment? Use Lockdown.

Want more commitment? Use Lockdown.

Lockdown adds friction to supported schedule changes and expanding permitted apps, including a 7-day standdown. It is a commitment setting, not a separate blocking mode, and does not make the app undeletable.

Need a break? Take a Flight.

Need a break? Take a Flight.

A Flight temporarily pauses blocking without ending your session. When the Flight ends, blocking returns if a session’s rules still apply. No Honey accrues during the pause. Core includes 3 Flights per month; The Hive and The Hive Family include up to 10.

REQUIREMENTS

What you need to get started.

What you need to get started.

What you need to get started.

• iPhone with iOS 17 or later

• Screen Time permission for shields

Bluetooth lets your iPhone detect a HoneyBeacon. Bee Together blocking follows the accepted time window.

Location permission supports beacon region monitoring on iOS. It does not provide centimetre-accurate detection.

Wake requires a HoneyBeacon and iOS 26 or later. Notifications support session, Together and Wake prompts.
